The Power of Carbonation For Cleaning Carpets
The power of carbonation
Nature’s way of cleaning — supercharged
Our cleaning process is built around the power of carbonation — billions of tiny CO₂ bubbles that do the hard work for you. It is the same natural chemistry that makes carbonated water more effective at cleaning than still water, applied at scale to your carpets and upholstery.
When our proprietary solution is applied, millions of bubbles penetrate deep between the fibres. They gently lift dirt, grime and allergens up to the surface, where powerful extraction removes them completely — leaving carpets dry in 1–2 hours, with no sticky residue to attract new dirt.

The science behind the bubbles
When carbon dioxide is injected into water, it forms carbonic acid — a mild, natural acid that acts as a powerful cleaning agent. The resulting billions of microscopic bubbles travel deep into carpet fibres, carrying our green-certified cleaning solution with them. As the bubbles rise back to the surface, they lift dirt, allergens and stains along with them.
Why it outperforms steam cleaning
Steam cleaning uses high-pressure hot water and detergents to flush the carpet, leaving it soaking wet for up to 24 hours. The excess moisture encourages mould and bacteria growth. Carbonation uses a fraction of the water, no detergents, and relies on the natural lifting action of CO₂ bubbles. Carpets dry in 1–2 hours and stay cleaner longer.
The process in 3 steps
Step 01
Apply
Our carbonating solution is applied across the carpet. The bubbles start working immediately, working between fibres where vacuums cannot reach.
Step 02
Lift
As the bubbles rise to the surface, they carry dirt, allergens and grime with them. No harsh scrubbing needed — the natural chemistry does the work.
Step 03
Extract
Powerful extraction equipment removes the bubbles and the lifted dirt completely. Carpets are left clean, fresh and dry in 1–2 hours.
Why our technicians prefer carbonation
Better results on the first visit
Steam cleaning often requires a second pass. Our carbonation process lifts more soil in one visit — which is why we can back it with a satisfaction guarantee on every job.
Safer around the home
No boiling water, no harsh chemicals, no slippery wet floors. Carpets are usable in under 2 hours — safer for children, pets and people with allergy sensitivities.
Better for the carpet itself
Saturated backing weakens carpet fibres over time. Carbonation uses a fraction of the water, so your carpet stays structurally sound for longer.
Better for the planet
Less water, less waste water, green-certified The Natural® solution. The carbonating process is the most sustainable carpet cleaning method available today.

Frequently asked questions
Is carbonation safe for all carpet types?
Yes. Carbonation cleaning is gentle on all fibre types — wool, nylon, polyester, olefin and natural fibres. The low-moisture process also makes it safe for delicate fabrics and prevents shrinkage.
Does carbonation actually clean deeper than steam?
Yes. Independent research shows that carbonation cleaning penetrates deeper into carpet fibres than steam cleaning, lifting more embedded soil and allergens while using significantly less water.
Does The Natural® leave any residue?
No. The Natural® is a carbonating solution that contains no soaps, detergents or sticky residues. What goes into the carpet as bubbles is extracted completely — leaving nothing behind but clean, fresh fibres.
Will it work on a 10-year-old carpet?
In most cases, yes. Carbonation is actually ideal for older carpets because the low-moisture process protects the backing and prevents further damage from over-saturation. Heavily worn carpets may not return to a like-new look, but they will be significantly cleaner.
