Rug Cleaning
Gentle, expert rug cleaning
We clean all types of rugs — Oriental, Persian, synthetic, wool, cotton and silk. Each piece is evaluated individually for its fibres, dyes and construction. The right cleaning method is chosen per rug, not applied by formula.
“We don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. Every rug gets an individual assessment before we start.”
Rug types we clean
Oriental & Persian
Hand-cleaned to protect intricate weaves, dyes and fringe detail. Gentle process preserves colour and craftsmanship.
Synthetic
Deep-cleaned to lift traffic-lane dirt and restore appearance. Low-moisture process is safe for man-made fibres.
Wool
pH-balanced, low-moisture cleaning that preserves the natural softness and structural integrity of wool fibres.
Cotton & silk
Gentle wash or hand-clean process selected per fibre type. Preserves sheen in silk, restores softness in cotton.
Our cleaning process
Our rug cleaning process begins with a thorough fibre and dye assessment. We identify the rug’s construction, material and any colourfastness issues before selecting the appropriate cleaning method.
Using low-moisture carbonating extraction, we gently lift embedded dirt, allergens and stains from deep within the fibres. No harsh scrubbing, no excess water. The result is a deeper clean that dries quickly, protecting your rug from mould, shrinkage or colour bleeding.

Rug care tips
Vacuum regularly
Vacuum both sides of your rug weekly to prevent dirt from working its way deep into the fibres. Use a gentle suction setting for delicate rugs.
Rotate your rug
Rotate your rug every 6–12 months to distribute foot traffic evenly and prevent uneven wear and fading in sun-exposed areas.
Professional cleaning
Have your rugs professionally cleaned every 12–18 months to remove deep-set dirt and allergens that vacuuming alone cannot reach.
Rotate seasonally for sun
Rugs near sunny windows should be rotated more often to avoid uneven fading from direct UV exposure.
Frequently asked questions
Can you clean valuable antique rugs?
Yes. Our technicians are experienced with antique and heirloom rugs. Each piece receives an individual assessment and a gentle cleaning method is chosen to protect its value and integrity.
How long does a rug clean take?
Most rugs are cleaned on-site in under an hour and dry within 1–2 hours. Larger or heavily soiled rugs may take longer — your technician will advise during the assessment.
Do you pick up rugs for off-site cleaning?
We offer both on-site cleaning and pick-up/delivery for off-site cleaning depending on the rug type and your preference. Ask our team when you book.
Will the colour bleed or shrink?
No. We colourfast-test before cleaning, use low-moisture methods, and never use heat that would risk shrinkage. Your rug is returned in the same condition we received it, just cleaner.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on the rug size, fibre type and condition. We provide a free, no-obligation quote — just call +61 488 839 024 with the dimensions and material if you can.
